Boring Shoes + Sharpies!

This is what I wanted the Sharpie markers for a week or so ago.

I've had these plain white tennis shoes for a while and they're so boring I never wore them anywhere. Even for around the house white is just not the best color because it shows every little stain and mark.

I decided I wanted something more fun, but it took me a while to decide what to do with them. I had though about coloring them to look like wingtips or saddle shoes, but my 80s/90s nostalgia won out.

If you are in or near your 30s, you probably remember Lisa Frank. They made stickers, folders, stationary, and all sorts of things featuring neon-colored animals, unicorns, and other stereotypical girly stuff. It's still around, but I think it was much more popular in the late 80s-mid 90s, when I was in elementary and middle school.

As much of a tomboy as I was/am, I have an undying love for the stuff, especially Markie the unicorn. I even carried folders and notebooks with him on them in college and in the office when I worked as a real estate broker, so I just had to bust out the markers and make me some neon rainbow unicorn shoes.
